SEASIDE FIRE DEPARTMENT INVITATION TO BID: TRACTOR-DRAWN AERIAL QUINT APPARATUS

INVITATION TO BID

Sealed bids for the Seaside Fire Tractor-Drawn Aerial Quint Apparatus will be received by Joey Daniels, Fire Chief, at 989 Broadway, Seaside, OR 97138 until 2:00 p.m., Pacific Time, on November 27, 2017 at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read aloud.

The project consists of construction and delivery of a Tractor-Drawn Aerial Quint Apparatus and other equipment as outlined in the bid specifications.  No invoices will be generated or dated prior to July 1, 2019 and delivery of the vehicle will not occur prior to that date.   Bid documents may be reviewed at the following locations:

Bid documents may be obtained electronically from the Fire Chief at jdaniels@cityofseaside.us .  Bid documents may also be obtained in print from Seaside Fire & Rescue, 150 South Lincoln Street, Seaside OR 97138, beginning, November 6, 2017 upon payment of a non‑refundable fee of $50.00 per set.  Please include mailing address, telephone and FAX numbers with request for Contract Documents. 

The National Fire Protection Association 1901 “Standard for Automotive Fire Apparatus, Current Edition” has been adopted as part of the bid specifications. This shall be for a “Tractor-Drawn Aerial Quint Fire Apparatus”. Proposals will be evaluated on commitment to delivery, length and terms of warranties, manufacturers’ locations and regional track records for performance, location of post-delivery service and parts, compliance with bid specifications, completeness of the bid, price and information supplied, etc.

The Purchaser reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, and to accept the bid deemed to be in the best interest of the Purchaser. The Purchaser is not bound to accept the lowest price submitted. The Bidder whose bid most closely meets the Purchaser’s specifications and demonstrates the qualities desired by the Purchaser shall be chosen as the successful provider.

No bidder may withdraw or modify the bidder’s bid after the hour set for the opening thereof, until after the lapse of 30 days from the bid opening.
