The City of Seaside Visitors Bureau and Tourism Advisory Committee are pleased to announce the application period for the 2021-2022 Tourism Grant Program is now open. Approximately $50,000 in grant funds are expected to be available for this coming fiscal cycle. The application deadline is Friday, May 7, 2021.

Non-profit organizations and businesses with a project, program, or event that encourages visitation and overnight stays in Seaside between July 1, 2021 and December 31, 2022 are welcome to apply.

“This annual grant program is one way we support the community-led projects that have made Seaside a top destination for generations,” said Joshua Heineman, director of tourism marketing for the City of Seaside. “The seed funds provided through this grant can give legs to new ideas and initiatives that will ultimately help Seaside’s economy recover from the pandemic in the second half of the year.”

The Seaside Chamber of Commerce is typically the grant’s largest recipient with an annual approximate stipend of $25,000 to support Seaside’s 4th of July Fireworks Celebration, one of the largest and most-impressive shows in the state. Last year’s grant recipients also included the North Coast Land Conservancy, Sunset Empire Park & Recreation Foundation, Seaside Downtown Development Association, Knights of Columbus, and Seaside Museum & Historical Society.
