The Street Department provides an array of services for our Community. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
The Parks Department is only responsible for the Maintenance, Planning, and Minor Construction of the City's parks. These parks include Cartwright Park, Quatat Park, Gateway Park, Neawanna History Park, Railroad Park, Seltzer Park, The Promenade, The Turnaround, Broadway Dog Park, Goodman Park, Mill Ponds Park, and Broadway Park Picnic facilities, Canoe launch, and Skate and Ride Park.
Combine those activities with keeping the beach clean, trash pick-up from over 130 public receptacles around town, storm debris and log jam removal, sanding and de-icing, and accident clean-up and you can see why the Street Department is so busy.
The Street Department is involved with Special Events within the city and provides necessary assistance for the Miss Oregon Pageant, Flower Basket Program, Hood to Coast Relay, Beach Volley Ball, 4th of July and Wheels & Waves, just to name a few.
